First name: Kirill
How and when did your passion for photography started?
I had the most typical Instagram account with photos of me, friends and food.. Then I accidentally started following some famous cool photographers and when I finally got over inspired (I asked myself why can't I do it too? I mean, everybody is an artist with his/her own vision of things, imagination and feelings which he/she can express through photography, art and whatever...) I began taking photos of everything around me and editing them. So this is how it's started.
How would you define your style?
I was on the lookout for my own style until I got featured on @candyminimal by @MattCrump. It was a new world for me. The idea of defining me as a minimalist artist inspired me. I started working in that direction and I am still searching for my own thing. As I remember, I have been always fascinated by the sky. This is what inspires me the most, this is what can be beautiful and scary at the same time. This is what protects us. And I think this is the most beautiful painting the world has ever seen. So, now, the sky is an essential part of my work. I want people to look at my pictures the way they look up at the sky. As my Instagram bio says, I'm a minimalist and a digital artist.
Do you think that Instagram has changed your personal and professional life? How?
I think Instagram has changed the way I look at things. When I was a very young kid I was only dreaming about cultural communication with people from all over the world. I just had no idea how to make it happen. As I had no video games and all those gadgets, I was just drawing and drawing and drawing while listening to music or watching movies. My parents were the only audience I had and they're still my favorite one. Instagram has changed everything. I can share my work with thousands of people from all over the world. I got so many friends and I can't wait to see them in person.
Devices you use to photograph:
I use my IPod touch 6th generation and Canon 600D
What apps do you use to edit your photos?
I use photoshop, Lightroom on computer and Union, PicTapGo, Snapseed on my iPod
Tips to get a good photograph:
Don't take only one shot, take a few of the same thing, then when editing you can choose what you like the most, which one is the sharpest. Challenge yourself - take 10+ photos every single day! It will help you to see the world differently, to see beauty in regular things.. (I heard about it somewhere and it's a really awesome rule.)
What place in the world would you like to photograph?
All the places in the world, but not indoors because there's no sky inside, as you know haha...
