How and when did you start with your Photography?
I don't know exactly when I started with photography, maybe when I was 14 and my grandfather gave me my first camera. Since that moment, I’ve started taking pictures of everything around me. At the beginning, it was just something to remember my holidays, but later on photography became a real passion for me.
How would you define your style? How did you build it ?
I like to define my style with this word: simplicity. It’s impressive how and what you can create with only a few elements like a hand and a watch, or a dish and a vinyl record. You just have to create an interesting story and show it in an alternative and creative way. I like to replace an ordinary object with something similar that will attract and surprise my followers.
What inspires you?
My inspiration comes from daily scenarios. In most of the cases my photos represent something that happened to me the day I shot the picture like when I was making popcorn in a pan one day and the popcorn started jumping out of the pan. Bing! I wanted to take a picture of this. Or when I told my little cousin that I needed to take a photo which represented Florence and he began to paint the city with the watercolors.
When you take a picture, what do you want to convey?
When I take a picture I wanna convey a message which can be mix of things be them happy, funny or sometimes sad. With every photo I tell a little story, the story of my ordinary days through my creative and minimal style.
Do you think that Instagram has changed your personal and professional life? How?
I think that Instagram has helped me to grow as a photographer because it’s not only some social media where you share your photos and you wait for someone to comment on them or follow you, but it’s also a big family of friends from all over the world who I speak with about my passion - photography.
Which was the biggest photographic challenge you had?
I think that for a photographer the biggest challenge is finding his/her personal style but when you figure it out, you start to see the world with different eyes.
Device you use to photograph:
I use my iPhone 6s to take photos for my instagram profile but I can’t disregard my Nikon reflex, which I use for my professional shooting or during my journeys.
Tips to get a good photograph:
I think that if you wanna get a good photograph you have to tell a story with an image. What this story is about is not important, it’s only essential that you do it using your personal style and your creativity.
What place in the world would you like to photograph?
My dream is to photograph the incredible California landscapes and to reflect its breathtaking atmosphere
@helloemilie for the capacity to tell her trips with incredible photos and @pacodelosmonteros with his incredible minimal and creative style.
